Catherine Little is an experienced performer and teacher of the cello, a creative thinker who enjoys problem solving and discovering new ideas. Catherine draws her inspiration from her teachers and students, all different kinds of music, and life itself. Her work on stage and in the studio is passionate, sensitive and enthusiastic.

Catherine is a founding member of the Baroque N' Fiddle String Quartet, an ensemble specializing in traditional Celtic music in a classic string quartet. Under the leadership of fiddler Brad Reid, the quartet has toured concert halls on mainland Nova Scotia as well as on Cape Breton Island. In 2012 they debuted their album entitled Buttermilk Mary, while a second album is currently in the works.

Catherine has worked as an orchestral performer across Canada and in South America, as a “pit band” cellist in major musical theatre productions, and she has recorded on several albums as well as on film. She has also performed for over 150 weddings and events! Catherine holds both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in music performance from Wilfrid Laurier University and the Université de Montréal. She currently lives and works as a musician and a music teacher in her native Nova Scotia.
